Wandering through the northern expanses of Murmansk, Teriberka, Kirovsk and Apatity, I was overcome by a deep sense of unity with nature. I had never experienced such a clear contact with the surrounding world before. The Arctic air, the purity and power of nature filled my heart, filling it with the bright colors of the northern lights.
